Paper Pumpkin Palooza!

It was a fun Friday night breaking out the Paper Pumpkin kits! All of the attendees were new to the Paper Pumpkin phenomenon... and after last night, they're all hooked! We even had a young crafter get into the craze!

Of course we had so much fun that I didn't have the chance to take many pictures, but that's a good sign, isn't it?

I had a few past kits on display so everyone could see the variety and quality of projects. And BTW, the card file pictured below is a CASE from Lyssa Zwolanek, fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator who comes up with the most amazing projects. I'm in awe of her talent!

If you're interested in learning more about Paper Pumpkin, click HERE. It's a fresh, fun way to craft. Stampin' Up! has taken out all the stress of designing and prepping. When I travel on business, I usually take a box or two with me. Everything (except scissors and adhesive) is included and ready to create.

Happy stamping!

Half Off... It's a Wonderful Thing!

Have you tried Paper Pumpkin yet? I must say, I honestly love these kits! I didn't think I would, because I don't usually like surprises (unless it's for my birthday). Not knowing what the kit is going to be each month was difficult, but I'm now to the point where I look forward to the surprise. Okay, okay... here's the truth:  I'm one of those people who cannot miss out on the newest Stampin' Up! thing! I've been a subscriber from the beginning and I have to say, I'm glad I stuck with it. Each kit is better than the last (in my opinion)!

Still not convinced to try it?  How about if it were half off for two months? That's the best reason to try it... it's like buying one and getting one free! Just visit my Paper Pumpkin site and enter HALFOFF2 as your promo code. But hurry... you only have until September 10 to take advantage of this promotion.

Still need another incentive? I will send you a free SNAIL adhesive (your choice of full or refill) when you become a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and choose me as your demonstrator! And just in case you are like me and need a sneak peek... here's a glimpse at September's kit:

A couple of things to keep in mind... this is for new subscribers only. If you've already had a Paper Pumpkin account, it is tracked by your e-mail address. Also, Paper Pumpkin cannot deliver to post office boxes, as a physical address is needed. Perhaps you can have it shipped to your office, or to a friend!

There is no commitment, and you can skip a month - or cancel at any time... but why would you?

If you have any questions, just ask!

Inspire. Create. Share.

Stampin' Up!'s Convention is the annual highlight for us demonstrators, and the effects seem to last for a few weeks. What helps me is taking my time going through pictures. I get to re-live the fun times!

This convention (renamed Inspire. Create. Share.) was even more fun because there were eight of us from my team (Woot Team Fancy!)!! We sat together in general session, went to classes together, and even ate lunch together. But there were times when we had time to break up into groups, or even go solo. It was the perfect balance, and the right mix of people.

One of the highlights for me was seeing my picture in a montage up on stage!

I couldn't believe it! My friend Debory was trying to tell me (sitting seven people away, it was hard to hear her, so she had to text me LOL!), but I missed it at that moment. I did, however, catch it later in the day, and was pleasantly surprised when it replayed again and again on a loop! I was able to take a picture. SUCH FUN!! Especially since I usually don't like my picture taken. Tee hee!

Another fun activity at Inspire. Create. Share. is taking pictures of the display boards. Talented demonstrators provide inspiration and share their creations (get it?)! I am so in awe at what these women and me can do with ink and paper (and a few punches, ribbon, embellishments, etc.). Look at a few of these amazing projects...

Of course my favorite is the Disney Punch Art - Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I always ask myself, "Now why didn't I think to do something like that?" They make it look so easy!

Stay tuned, as I have a few more pictures and memories to share! I'll also post pictures of some swaps I've received - and some I've done.

Thank you for stopping by! Now, go stamp! :)

It's About Time

Yes, it's been a while... and no more promises about posting. I will try to post more often, but that's the best I can do right now. I do, however, post more often on my Facebook page (facebook.com/celticstamper) because quite honestly, it's so much easier! Snap a picture on my phone, upload, and voila! It's a post!

But enough of that... I finally had a moment to take the pictures from Stampin' Up!'s Inspire. Create. Share. (formerly known as Convention) off my camera. Here are a few of my favorites...

These are samples that Shelli Gardner showed during her presentation. The first two pictures are samples made from product out of the new upcoming holiday catalog. If you'd like a copy of your catalog without having to wait until August 28, then e-mail me with your name, mailing address and e-mail. I will add you to the list and get you a catalog as quickly as possible!

As always, I appreciate you stopping by! Please feel free to leave a message to let me know you were here.

And yes, I will post more pictures... soon!

When Stampin' Up! has a promotion, they really do it BIG! Today they published the retiring stamps and accessories lists today - and they are giving everyone FREE SHIPPING on EVERYTHING (not including expedited shipping).

Want to see what stamp sets are leaving us? Click here to view the list.

If you want to see which accessories are retiring, click here to view the list.

I'm really going to miss the 2012-2014 In-Colors such as Gumball Green and Midnight Muse, the stamp sets Creative Elements and Papaya Collage... and the Sponge Daubers! What are you going to miss? Hopefully nothing, but you have to hurry and place your order!

Congratulations Paper Pumpkin!

That's right! I'm congratulating Paper Pumpkin. Why? Because it got me to make a card for someone special - who did something amazing - and it was the perfect kit!

Who's that someone special? My dad! And what did he do that was so amazing? He ran and was elected to his neighborhood council! How inspirational to know (and be related to) someone who feels they can make a difference in their neighborhood, city, county, state, etc. and actually do something about it! I've never been like that, but perhaps I should start! Naw... I think I'll leave that to my dad and I'll focus on publishing consistent blog posts about stamping. But I will continue to cheer him on and this card is going in the mail today!

March's Paper Pumpkin kit included wooden words (3 of each) - "thank you" and "congrats." I colored the "congrats" with the gold Encore pad, then embossed it to set the color (I suppose I could have used the gold embossing powder). The kit also came with gold envelope liners, which I used to cut the banner and stars. I love the card in person - and I hope my dad does, too!

Paper Pumpkin had a bad reputation in the beginning, but like any of its other loyal subjects, I kept up my subscription... and I'm glad I did! Stampin' Up! has listened to subscriber feedback and the kits are so much better! If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin yet, you really need to!  I'm waiting for April's kit (I ordered 3), and will post pictures (I swear)!

Do you want to order your own Paper Pumpkin subscription? If so, please visit mypaperpumpkin.com. If you sign up as a new user in April and designate me as your demonstrator, I will put your name in a drawing for a Paper Pumpkin kit from February!

Have a great day - now go stamp! :)

Weekly Deals and a Couple of Excuses...

I've been a slacker when it comes to blogging.  I've had a good excuse, though... actually two. I've been sick, and I've been out of town. My other business (the Scottish import shop) takes me out of town several times a year, and this month's festival kicked my butt. However, I am back and getting healthier every day. Now that I'm back, here is what's going on in my stampin' world...

WEEKLY DEALS!!!  Check out these fabulous Stampin' Up! items which are on sale this week (until Monday, February 24):

I must order the In Color Dahlias (these colors are retiring in May, so get them now before they are gone) and the Etcetera Designer Series Paper (I used most of it on my swaps for Leadership). I could probably use a new corner punch because mine is the old "whale" style. What's on your Weekly Deal must have list???

Want to order these items? Then visit my website and use this month's hostess code 2SJFBC96. If your order is at least $150, don't use the hostess code. Instead keep the Stampin' Rewards for yourself! Either way, you will earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration item for every $50 in product you order.

Hip Hip Hooray, It's a New Card Kit!

I really LOVE the Stampin' Up! card kits. I think they are SO much better than the Simply Sent kits they have offer in the catalogs. Don't get me wrong, I think the Simply Sent kits are great - and so cute, but the new Everyday Occasions Card Kit and the newest Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit are AMAZING!!!! Check out the pictures of a few of the cards I made from the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit...

You get virtually everything you need to create beautiful cards - the card bases, envelopes, die cuts, embellishments, adhesive (Dimensionals and Glue Dots), and even the stamps, acrylic block and Stampin' Spot (ink)! Really all you need is a pair of Paper Snips (and Stampin' Up! has them, too... imagine that *wink*).

If you want to order this kit - with everything you need to make 20 cards, all for $19.95 (plus tax and shipping), then visit my online store! Oh, and by the way... even though all of these cards read, "thanks," you receive three stamps in this kit. I used all the cards for my hostess club orders! *smile*

Thank you for stopping by!

Unleash Your Creativity... with Undefined!

Have you ever needed just the right stamp, only to find Stampin' Up! doesn't have it? Well, my favorite set from Stampin' Up! retired years ago, and it is packed away in my garage (don't ask). The easier solution? Create my own stamp using Stampin' Up!'s new Undefined kit!

You may be wondering why an apple core? Well, with a maiden name like CORE, it just seemed fitting! I've actually created ones for my nieces, too, and will be sending them for Valentine's Day.

Want to see how the Undefined kit works? Check out the video from Stampin' Up! below, then head over to my Stampin' Up! store to order your own Undefined kit!

Make an Impression!

I get excited when Stampin' Up! introduce new tools - especially when they make my crafting experiences so much fun and easy. Last year Sizzix gave Stampin' Up! a limited number of Texture Boutiques to see if there would be a demand for them. Guess what? There was - and still is! This machine is completely redesigned for Stampin' Up! - it is so sleek and sexy, don't you think? Although I have the previous version, I HAD to order the new one... it will be in Friday! *big smile*

Here are the details from Stampin' Up!...

Make an impression with our Texture Impression Embossing Machine (item 132657). It’s coming in our 2014–2015 annual catalog, but we have a limited supply available now. The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut.

Don’t forget to order the brand new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders that just came out in the Occasions catalog so you have everything you need to start creating with your new machine.

  • Ampersand Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item 132970)
  • Arrows Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item 132187)
  • Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (item 132971)

If you order the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine and all three of the new folders, you will qualify to get a FREE Sale-A-Bration gift. We highly recommend the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Item #133520)! (You must order before March 31, 2014 to qualify for the free gift).

One last note... I still love my Big Shot for die cutting and use it daily. However, the Texture Boutique is great if you just want a quick emboss! I took mine to Leadership to finish my swaps. It was so much more convenient (and did not add much extra weight to my luggage)!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy stamping!

Have you Tried Paper Pumpkin Yet?

I received my Paper Pumpkin box and squealed when I opened it! Free gift? What??? And how did they know I love buttons? Tee hee! Usually I stick pretty close to the instructions and pictures when putting my kit together, but this time I am going to try to step out of the box. As soon as I'm finished putting my cards together, I'll definitely post pictures!

If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin yet, you might want to! Don't forget to sign up before February 10 to get a FREE set of markers! Details can be found HERE. Pictured below is your welcome kit. If you decide to continue your subscription, you will receive a new shipment every month. So much fun!
