April Tutorial Bundle

Have you ever sat down at your craft desk only to find you've lost your crafty mojo? Well, it's happened to me quite often. Yes, even demonstrators feel creatively stuck and it's hard to get back into the groove. That's one reason I decided to listen to my crafty friend (and fellow demonstrator) Tracy, who suggested I join in the Crafty Collaborators Tutorial Bundle. This month, 52 of us Stampin' Up! demonstrators created projects and compiled them into one file! That's one card a week for an entire year! Honestly... this blows my mind - and has me excited about getting back to the Craft Shack (my she-shed in the backyard).

There are three ways to get this massive tutorial bundle:
  • Place a $50 order (before tax and shipping) using host code HYVAH34C in my online store.
  • Join my team and receive monthly tutorial bundles FREE every month!
Upon notification of payment, order, or joining, you will be emailed a link to access the tutorial, as the file is too large to email.

Not only does it feel good to be stamping again, but it also feels good to be a part of such a supportive stampin' community! Stay tuned for even more fun things coming up in the near future!

As always, I appreciate you supporting my little Stampin' Up! business and being a part of my crafty journey!

Let's Get Hopping - My Happy Color

Welcome to another round of Let's Get Hopping! I can't believe we've been hopping for almost three years! You've likely hopped over from the talented Eimear Carvill, but if you didn't and you're starting here, then be sure you keep hopping until you've seen all the gorgeous colors!

When I think of a happy color, I can't help but think of my two happy places. Yes, I have two... and I can't actually decide which makes me happier. It's odd because one reminds me of the other.

My first happy place is the beach. I don't care which beach... or which body of water, for that matter. There is something so soothing about being by the roar of the crashing waves, or the sloshing of swells against a buoy or anchored boat.

Since I have two happy places, I think it's appropriate to have three happy colors! The beach (including these pictures from some of my earlier vacations) reminds me of Stampin' Up!'s Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party. Could it be the names? LOL!

Although the colors look more green on some computers, they are such calm blue colors that remind me of the ocean.

My other happy place is Disneyland... or specifically the Disneyland Hotel. How does this remind me of the ocean? With its tropical and Polynesian theme, it immediately calms me and makes me feel like I’m home - just like the beach.

It made sense to combine my three happy colors from Stampin' Up! with the Timeless Tropical stamp set and Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. Oh those Palm Trees!! The Designer Series Paper also reminds me of my hubby, who is very much into vintage cars... so the "woody" station wagons just complete my collection of happy things (Hubby being one of them).

This was such a fun card to make and it just makes me scream HAPPY! What do you think? Does it bring a smile to your face?

Just a little bit of the details... I distressed the edges of the paper behind the greeting, as well as the greeting itself (I wanted it to feel very "beachy"), and did a curl on the opposite corners of the embossed Bermuda Bay cardstock and Soft Suede piece of Designer Series Paper - something I consider a  signature style that's used by Susan Wong - which I just LOVE!

Thank you for visiting! I hope you enjoyed my little piece of paradise! Now, hop on over to Teresa Brown's blog by clicking the "Next Blog" arrow below.

If you'd like to create my card, or it has inspired you to create your own, these are the supplies I used. Just click the individual picture and it will take you to my online store!

Make the Holidays a Little Merrier with Merry Patterns

Although I'm nowhere close to being ready, I'm so excited for the holidays! Yes, it's true... I'm one of those weird people who can listen to Christmas music year-round (just did yesterday), so I get a little giddy when the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog comes out (if you don't have a copy, let me know and I'll send you one)... but even more so when there's a special offer for hosts!

Check out how versatile this stamp set really is! I can't wait to get my hands on it and start CASEing (I mean creating... tee hee)!

If you'd like to receive this exclusive set for FREE, just host a qualified card party (in-person, catalog, or online). This bonus stamp set is on top of the Stampin' Rewards earned... and as a bonus "thank you" from me, I always offer my hosts FREE shipping on their orders! What could be merrier? Contact me today to take advantage!

Half Off... It's a Wonderful Thing!

Have you tried Paper Pumpkin yet? I must say, I honestly love these kits! I didn't think I would, because I don't usually like surprises (unless it's for my birthday). Not knowing what the kit is going to be each month was difficult, but I'm now to the point where I look forward to the surprise. Okay, okay... here's the truth:  I'm one of those people who cannot miss out on the newest Stampin' Up! thing! I've been a subscriber from the beginning and I have to say, I'm glad I stuck with it. Each kit is better than the last (in my opinion)!

Still not convinced to try it?  How about if it were half off for two months? That's the best reason to try it... it's like buying one and getting one free! Just visit my Paper Pumpkin site and enter HALFOFF2 as your promo code. But hurry... you only have until September 10 to take advantage of this promotion.

Still need another incentive? I will send you a free SNAIL adhesive (your choice of full or refill) when you become a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and choose me as your demonstrator! And just in case you are like me and need a sneak peek... here's a glimpse at September's kit:

A couple of things to keep in mind... this is for new subscribers only. If you've already had a Paper Pumpkin account, it is tracked by your e-mail address. Also, Paper Pumpkin cannot deliver to post office boxes, as a physical address is needed. Perhaps you can have it shipped to your office, or to a friend!

There is no commitment, and you can skip a month - or cancel at any time... but why would you?

If you have any questions, just ask!

It's About Time

Yes, it's been a while... and no more promises about posting. I will try to post more often, but that's the best I can do right now. I do, however, post more often on my Facebook page (facebook.com/celticstamper) because quite honestly, it's so much easier! Snap a picture on my phone, upload, and voila! It's a post!

But enough of that... I finally had a moment to take the pictures from Stampin' Up!'s Inspire. Create. Share. (formerly known as Convention) off my camera. Here are a few of my favorites...

These are samples that Shelli Gardner showed during her presentation. The first two pictures are samples made from product out of the new upcoming holiday catalog. If you'd like a copy of your catalog without having to wait until August 28, then e-mail me with your name, mailing address and e-mail. I will add you to the list and get you a catalog as quickly as possible!

As always, I appreciate you stopping by! Please feel free to leave a message to let me know you were here.

And yes, I will post more pictures... soon!

Hip Hip Hooray, It's a New Card Kit!

I really LOVE the Stampin' Up! card kits. I think they are SO much better than the Simply Sent kits they have offer in the catalogs. Don't get me wrong, I think the Simply Sent kits are great - and so cute, but the new Everyday Occasions Card Kit and the newest Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit are AMAZING!!!! Check out the pictures of a few of the cards I made from the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit...

You get virtually everything you need to create beautiful cards - the card bases, envelopes, die cuts, embellishments, adhesive (Dimensionals and Glue Dots), and even the stamps, acrylic block and Stampin' Spot (ink)! Really all you need is a pair of Paper Snips (and Stampin' Up! has them, too... imagine that *wink*).

If you want to order this kit - with everything you need to make 20 cards, all for $19.95 (plus tax and shipping), then visit my online store! Oh, and by the way... even though all of these cards read, "thanks," you receive three stamps in this kit. I used all the cards for my hostess club orders! *smile*

Thank you for stopping by!

 Have fun stamping!
