RemARKably Creative Blog Hop - Stampin' Blends Style

Welcome to this month's RemARKably Creative blog tour, featuring some fun projects with Stampin' Blends! Didn't you just love what Candy Ford shared?

I'm so glad Janet Wakeland organized this blog tour... I just LOVE these Blends! There is something therapeutic about coloring, and the Stampin' Blends make it so easy! In fact, I prefer the Blends to our Stampin' Write markers for coloring (shhh... don't tell anyone). Seriously... here is the image I colored with Stampin' Write markers next to the one colored with the Blends - can you tell which is which? Of course you can. LOL! Hubby likes the image colored with the markers because the colors are vibrant. I agree, they are... but just look how smooth the colors are with the Blends - no lines or splotchy areas!

For this project, I decided to give you a sneak peek of a new stamp set that's coming out in Stampin' Up!'s Occasions catalog January 3. One of the perks of being a demonstrator and going to OnStage (convention) is getting my hands on a copy of the latest catalog. But the best part is being spoiled by actually getting new stamps sets to take home and play with! This set is called Flying Home - and you'll be able to order it soon (ask me how you can order it sooner).

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this card turned out! As usual, it started out to be something different and is nothing like what I had going on in my head... it just kind of happened. I guess that's how all of my cute cards are born. LOL!

Thought you might want to see some of the details...

Of course EVERY card needs dimension! I decided to pop up the bird and birdhouse - because I love fussy-cutting! It's almost as relaxing as coloring.

Every card needs some kind of ribbon... and Linen Thread really is my favorite. I love how natural it is, especially with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

I really hope you're enjoying the blog tour and all of our projects help inspire you to try the new Stampin' Blends! Now... hop on over to Janet Wakeland's blog and see what remARKably creative project she has (but don't forget to leave a comment below before you do).

Inspiration Found... Where I Least Expected It

I've had my demonstrator website since I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in 2005 - or since they started offering them in I-don't-know-what-year, but I've never really gone on the site to see what's there. Okay, I've updated my calendar (I'm really good about that), and I finally connected my blog to my site, but there is one thing I never paid attention to - sample projects.

This card caught my eye on Pinterest, but when I clicked through to see if I could find instructions, it led me to a fellow demonstrator's website (not blog). That's when I decided to check my own site, and voila! It was there (click here to see this - and other cool projects - on my site)!

I absolutely LOVE this card because it is quick and easy - and would be a good addition to my next holiday card buffet (check out my calendar). Although Stampin' Up! has a list of items used on this card, I've included it below - to make it easier for you to see what you need to order (or grab from your crafting stash) just in case you want to make this card, too.

Happy stamping!

Stampin' Blends are Here!

As my friend, Annette, would say... OH EM GEE! It took a little bit of time, but all good things are worth waiting for... and these are no exception! As a demonstrator, I was able to pre-order and play with the Stampin' Blends - and members of my stamp club were able to play with them and create a fun, quick & easy card at our get together a couple of weeks ago!

Want to see the Stampin' Blends in action or learn some cool tips and tricks? Check out these videos!

Stampin' Blends are sold individually so you can pick and choose which colors you want to try first. Can't decide? Choose the full set. And guess what? You can get the complete collection if you purchase the Stampin' Up! Starter Kit for $99 (plus tax... but FREE shipping) and still have $3.50 left to spend! Ask me for details on this amazing deal!

So what do you need to get started? Just a few supplies (you may already have some of these items in your craft room):

If you're interested in learning more about Stampn' Blends, having a Stampin' Blends class, just let me know. Not in Southern California? Not a problem! I have a class-by-mail option, too.

Happy Blending!
